Delaware Casinos Payback Percentage

Delaware's three pari-mutuel facilities all feature slot machines. Technically, the machines are video lottery terminals (VLT's) because they are operated in conjunction with the Delaware Lottery.

Unlike VLT's in other states, Delaware's machines pay out in cash. The VLT's also play other games including: video poker, video keno and video blackjack.

According to Delaware State law, all video lottery games must have a payback percentage between 87% and 95% of all wagers on an annual basis.

Games can return above 95% but only with the Lottery Director's approval.

The following table shows the average VLT payback percentage from January through June, 2007 at Delaware's three pari-mutuel facilities:

All Delaware casinos are open 24 hours, except for Sundays when they are closed from 6 a.m. to noon. They are also closed on Easter and Christmas.

Delaware's minimum gambling age is 21 for slots and 18 for horse racing.
